Who is Bode and why is he saying those things about the planets?
It doesn’t seem possible that there is a simple math game that magically shows how far away most of the planets are from the Sun, but 250 years ago Johann Bode, the director of the Berlin Observatory, advertised this very game. The game is called "Bode's Law”.
Come to this presentation and play the game with Mike Ryan, retired Director of the Lake County School Planetarium. Mike will reveal the answers and you can see for yourself how the distance from each planet to the Sun is determined
