Connect with local families and watch your child engage in learning in the natural world!
Sprout Scouts Summertime Nature Learning is a teacher-led and forest school-inspired program for children aged 0-5 with required parent participation.
In the 0-2 class, an infant and caregiver will focus on the sensory experiences of the great outdoors! We will learn songs, soak up some sunshine, and engage in the natural world! We start early to miss the hottest part of the day, but bring your own blanket for sitting on while we do some activities. Baby carrier recommended for infants that cannot walk yet.
In the 3-5 class, your preschooler will work on pre-reading skills like nursery rhymes, letter recognition and letter sound production, name recognition, counting skills, social skills, fine motor skills, and more- all in the great outdoors! We start and end before the hottest part of the day- bring a blanket to sit on and sunscreen if needed. Snack and drink recommended.
Meeting at Lake Okahumpka Park in Wildwood and PEAR Park in Leesburg.
