Oakland Nature Preserve

Experience the wonder and beauty of native Florida 365 days a year! Trails are open from sunrise to sunset at no charge. (Only service dogs please.)

The Preserve is located in Oakland, Florida and open 365 days a year. The beautiful Healthy West Orange Boardwalk, upland nature trails and Jim Thomas Environmental Education Center are free. Donations are greatly appreciated and allow the Preserve to be open as often as possible. We ask that visitors not bring non-service dogs, since they leave behind a scent that upsets our native wildlife
