StoryWalk® is a delightful way for children — and adults! — to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children's book are attached to wooden stakes, which are installed along an outdoor path. As you stroll down the trail, you're directed to the next page in the story.
StoryWalk® at the Tavares Public Library is located either in front of the Library along New Hampshire Avenue or behind the Library in Ridge Park.
Monday and Wednesday between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Weather permitting.
Upon completion, visit the Children’s Room for a Take and Make Craft and to obtain a free book courtesy of the Friends of the Tavares Public Library. (Books and crafts are limited in supplies. One book per household per StoryWalk).
The StoryWalk® project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle and Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
