The Miracle League is a baseball league for physically and mentally disabled children. But the league is not just about playing baseball. It’s about building self-esteem, making new friends and making dreams come true.
We accept any child with any physical or mental disability. The league was created to give severely disabled children an opportunity to play baseball, so we've adapted one general rule to determine eligibility. If your child is capable of playing in traditional baseball leagues, then they are probably not suited for the Miracle League.
*Kids of all ages are welcome to participate.
*There is a fall & spring session each year lasting approximately 10 weeks.
*Each player is accompanied by a buddy on the field. The role of the Buddy is to help teach the players the game and to assist with their safety on the field - not to mention to make new friends.
*Games last approximately two innings... in each inning every player gets an opportunity to bat! We are there for the fun of it - no one keeps score - they are all winners!
*There is a banquet and award ceremony that immediately follow the final game of each season. Each player receives a trophy for participating.
*We are always looking for volunteers who would like to get involved and help out.
