Lake County Sheriff's Office Explorers

Are you in middle or high school and between the ages of 14 and 21? Are you interested in a career in law enforcement, or seeing what being a deputy sheriff or detention deputy is all about? THEN EXPLORING IS FOR YOU!
The explorer post is part of the community Engagement division. Explorers work together with Deputy Sheriff's and other members of the Sheriff's Office, called 'advisors'.
Advisors supervise all explorer post functions, such as special events called 'details', where we assist with Security, Traffic Parking, Crowd Control, and other events. Explorers also receive specialized training, and most of all have FUN traveling, sightseeing, and meeting others interested in law enforcement!
