Kids' Summer Programs at Lake Sumter State College

Join Kids’ College and give your 1st–9th grader a smart and engaging summer at Lake-Sumter State College. Our Kids’ College program is an enriching early college experience that seamlessly blends academic fundamentals with creative exploration. Help them build skills, confidence, and a passion for learning this summer!

Our Mission is to provide school-age children with an enriching summer experience where they can expand their knowledge, learn new skills, and explore new passions in a fun, safe, and academically engaging environment.

Camp is available Monday through Thursday, 9 am – 4 pm, with full and half-day options, as well as early and late care options in Semester A. Kids’ College is scheduled as 2-week semesters.

The Leaders in Training (LIT) Program empowers high school students (10th–12th grades) to translate their potential into actionable leadership skills that can inspire action and positive change in their communities. Participants gain real-world experience and build core competencies in mentoring and teamwork while completing 75+ public service hours and serving as essential role models for younger students during the summer.
