The Art of Magic Camp
World renown magician Jimmy Rook, who has toured the country mesmerizing audiences and has been featured on America’s Got Talent and HBO’s Second Chance Stage is teaming up with Something New Studio to bring the art of Magic to the youth of Lake County! During this camp, participants will learn the secrets of performing magic. From close up magic to card tricks to grand stage illusions, participants will learn and practice secret techniques that only magicians know. In addition they will work alongside Jimmy to develop elements of their own brand new illusion! The week culminates with a full stage show on the Hideaway PAC stage where participants will take center stage as the stars!
Students will take home their personal magic kit to continue growing as magicians after the camp!

MURDER Mystery Camp
Our wildly popular and very unique Murder Mystery Camp is back for the summer of 2025. During this week long adventure, participants will explore the arts of improvisation and storytelling. These important skills not only will help performers on the stage but also in all aspects of life from school to friendships as they grow while building strong self confidence.
While learning and practicing simple improv games, participants will develop the framework for their own improvised and audience immersive murder mystery dinner show which will be performed for friends and family at a local restaurant on the Saturday following the camp.
Participants will be mentored by Something New Studio's professional Murder Mystery Troupe and will follow the same process that the professionals use in creating our wildly popular dinner shows.

Short Form Improv Camp
Improv is theater made up completely on the spot. No scripts. No lines. No teleprompters. Suggestions and volunteers from the audience are utilized by our performers to make up scenes and characters with no preparation and with hilarious results! This program will help each student become more present, less self-conscious and will work towards desensitizing you to the fear of failing. Participants can expect to play lots of group games and to be exposed to basic improvised scenes. They will leave this camp feeling more confident and more empowered to break out of their shell.
Participants will be mentored by Something New Studio's professional Improv Actors. And will present their own "Whose Line is it Anyway" style show on Saturday June 28th.
