Join The Dramatic SLP for a unique sensory-friendly movie experience designed for children and families navigating feeding challenges! Our Sensory Cinema Club combines the excitement of a favorite movie with guided food exploration activities led by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a fun, supportive group environment.
Research and clinical experience show that children are often more willing to engage with new foods when they are paired with enjoyable, low-pressure experiences. By combining a beloved movie like Lilo & Stitch with positive sensory exploration, we can help reduce anxiety around food and create meaningful opportunities for learning, tasting, and play.
During this event, participants will:
Watch Lilo & Stitch with friends and family
Participate in three hands-on sensory food play activities designed to encourage food exploration, interaction, and tasting at each child's comfort level
Explore foods through touch, smell, sight, and play in a positive, pressure-free environment
Build confidence around new foods while having fun
Enjoy positive social interactions with peers in a supportive group setting
All activities are facilitated by an SLP with expertise in feeding and sensory development. Whether your child is a picky eater, has sensory sensitivities, or simply benefits from structured food exploration opportunities, this event provides a safe and engaging way to support feeding development while making lasting memories.
