Transform yourself into the 11th annual Clermont Caribbean Jerk Festival on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 12 to 9 p.m. presented by the Caribbean American Association of Lake County (CAALC). The free family friendly cultural event at Clermont’s Waterfront Park (330 3rd Street, Clermont, FL 34711) supports the Lake Steel Orchestra and raises funds for scholarships given to Lake County high school seniors.
The event will feature all things Caribbean, from jerk style chicken and pork, roti, curry, tropical drinks, and island treats to live music that will make you feel joyfully relaxed and mindful. Our live bands elevate you to the sounds of reggae, calypso, chutney, salsa, merengue and rhythms of the islands that will have you dancing along. You can also feel the rhythm of the steel drums from the Lake Steel Orchestra throughout the event.
Other activities throughout the event include a limbo contest, dance lessons, domino games, petting zoo, and kid’s zone. The event will also feature an alluring Island Flag Parade showcasing many Caribbean countries and their culture, making you feel like part of each community.
