Land Your First Job for Teens with Thrive Clermont

On February 21st from 5:30-800pm, Thrive Clermont, in partnership with the City of Groveland, is hosting an educational job fair for high school students.
Land Your First Job Event will benefit students whether they are researching employment options for the future, currently seeking part time work or actively planning for full time employment post high school graduation.
This FREE event will be held on February 21, 2024 from 5:30-8:00pm at the Nathanial Community Gymnasium on the campus of Hope Preparatory Academy 13806 SR-33, Groveland, Fl, 34736. High school students from any school and their families are invited to attend.
DINNER IS INCLUDED for the first 100 high school students who are registered, and meal purchase will be available for parents, siblings, or others. There will be FREE ice cream for all in attendance.
Up to 20 Employers will be in attendance including: Cherrylake Inc, Amazon, City of Groveland, Lake County Correctional Facilities, Disney, Woodard & Curran, AdventHealth, South Lake Hospital, Culver’s, and more! This job fair with Central Florida employers offering hundreds of job opportunities is designed just for high school students and their families.
In addition to the job fair portion, this event also offers area high school students the chance to receive individual mentoring help with resumes and interview skills and also learn about paycheck deductions and current labor laws.
Advanced registration for Land Your First Job on February 21 is open for students ages 13-18 at www.thriveclermont.org . Onsite registration will also be available.
