34th Annual Ocklawaha River Raid Civil War Re-enactment and Living History Weekend

A weekend-long Civil War Re-enactment/Living History weekend centering on the only battle of the war to occur in Marion County. The event will feature hundreds of soldier and civilian re-enactors of all ages from all across Florida, authentic camps, various historic displays and demonstrations, period music performances, and two battle re-enactments with infantry, artillery, and cavalry units.

The grounds of the Florida Horse Park will come to life with the sites and sounds of a bygone day. Numerous aspects of life during the 1860s will be portrayed during the weekend. The public are welcome to wander the authentic camps and converse with the re-enactors, many of whom are very knowledgeable about the time period. Food concessions will be on site.
