T-Ball: Boys & Girls Ages 5-6
T-Ball teaches children (ages 5-6) the basic motor skills necessary to play organized baseball while they work as a team. The program focuses on teaching children skills in batting, throwing/catching, and running/agility.
Leesburg Rookie League: Boys & Girls Ages 7 – 8 (Machine League)
This is a league designed to orient young boys and girls in the game of baseball, sportsmanship, and group participation. This is a pitching machine league which encourages hitting without the fear of being hit by the pitch.
Leesburg Cal Ripken Minor League: Boys Ages 9-10
This program is designed to teach young boys the fundamentals of baseball, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Leesburg Cal Ripken Major League: Boys Ages 11-12
Player’s will now begin playing baseball like the major leagues. The field is enlarged and runners will be allowed to lead off.
Leesburg Babe Ruth League: Boys Ages 13-15
This activity will instruct teenage boys in various baseball skills, sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline. Games will be played on nights that the LHS baseball team is not playing.
Babe Ruth Girls Fastpitch Softball 10U, 12U, 16U.
League oriented play designed to incrementally introduce new elements of the game as youth progress through the age divisions. Games are throughout the week and Saturdays. Local travel within the county will be required. Travel to neighboring counties may be required on Saturdays. Home games played at Sleepy Hollow recreation complex. Depending on registration numbers, only one team may be fielded per age group or some age divisions could be combined.
