Kids' Summer Programs at Lake Sumter State College

Kids' Summer Programs at Lake Sumter State College

Kids' College, sponsored by Lake-Sumter State College, is provided as an academic and enriching summer experience where school age children (2nd-9th grades) can begin "discovery" while using their imagination to explore new areas of interest and creativity.
Classes offered for the past 35 years at the Leesburg Campus and past 22 years in the Clermont area, ranging from academics, sports, performing arts to recreational activities and arts & crafts.
Our Mission and Commitment is to provide an enriching academic summer experience for school-age children to expand their knowledge, learn new skills and have an opportunity for exploration and discovery.

Aides-in-Training (AIT) is designed for high school students entering 10th – 12th grades to earn public service hours while also receiving leadership training and experiences during the summer months. No prior experience is necessary, however an appropriate attitude is required.
