One teacher can inspire the lives of many.
Innovation in and outside of the classroom.
Enhancing the quality of education for all.

Volunteer Opportunities:

The Education Foundation of Lake County relies on volunteers to make programs possible and we need your help now more than ever. We offer many opportunities to volunteer, ranging anywhere between once a year to weekly commitments. All ages are welcomed and encouraged to volunteer with us, and community service hours are provided. If you would like to get involved, please contact us and let us know your available schedule and interests. There’s a spot for YOU at The Education Foundation of Lake County!

Be a Take Stock in Children mentor. Each TSIC student is paired with an adult mentor who meets with them throughout the school year. Click here for more info.

Apple-Mart store volunteers needed. We offer three retail locations where teachers can shop for free. Apple-Marts are open Wednesday afternoons throughout the school year. Volunteers are need to staff the retail shops. Click here for information about Apple-Mart.

Help students be prepared for the start of the new school year. Throughout the year we apply for grants to help fund backpacks for low-income students in Lake County. We then purchase the backpacks and supplies then stuff them in July. If you’re interested in helping us stuff backpacks this school year, please contact Amber Castellano for more information.
